OC Social Club move into autumn by revisiting their massively popular 'Gangsters' design.
Hailing from Coventry, The Specials were one of the mainstays of the 2-tone and Ska revival scene of the late 70s and early 80s. At a time of great societal changes and upheaval across the UK, the band combined the danceable rhythms of ska and rocksteady with the energy and attitude of punk, matching this with lyrical commentary on political and social issues. The band's debut single 'Gangsters' - a reworking of Prince Buster's 'Al Capone' - was the first release on the eponymous 2 Tone Records label in 1979.
